Over 1,000,000 voices will speak up LOUD AND CLEAR tomorrow to these politicians on Capitol Hill on comprehensive health care reform.
We'll tell Democrats and Republicans that WE NEED HEALTH CARE REFORM NOW!
No more delays. No more bickering. No more infighting. Tell them to finish their job on health care reform!
Will you please add your voice to the millions of voices standing up for comprehensive health reform tomorrow?
We know that millions of Americans desperately need access to health care. We know that this Senate bill, even fixed, is just the first step on a very long road to real health care reform. We'll never stop aiming higher, and never stop going for the best bill possible.
Please join us in fighting for comprehensive health care reform tomorrow, and tell your friends to join too!
You know that our health care system is broken when private insurers such as Anthem in California commit over 700 violations by failing to pay claims in 30 days, failing to respond quickly to investigators during complaint investigations, misrepresenting facts or insurance policies to consumers, failing to pay interest on claims, and other miscellaneous delays and claims violations.
It makes one wonder just how many violations would be found under the National Medical Insurance Rate Authority in the President's proposal, and it'd likely run into thousands and thousands of violations by private insurers going all the way back to 1945. That's when they received a special exemption from anti-trust laws---the same special exemption that professional baseball enjoys. Join here to find out how you can help repeal this unearned exemption for private insurers!
Also, you know that Republicans still don't get it when someone like Governor Pawlenty (who hopes to be our Pwesident one day) says that emergency rooms SHOULD TURN AWAY patients to cut down on costs.
Does Governor Pawlenty not get that this is a violation of the Hippocratic Oath?
Does he not understand that this already happens today because of private insurers?
Does Governor Pawlenty not understand that a patient is treated differently based on his or her having insurance or not?
Does he not understand that hospitals, worried about the costs of keeping an uninsured patient in the emergency room, all too often turn out these patients on the street before they get fully treated and are expected to recover at home?
Does he not understand that hospitals even do this to insured patients because the private insurer doesn't want to pay for prolonged treatment or full medical care?
Republicans just don't get it, and some conservative Senate Democrats don't get it too. On the day of the Presidential bipartisan summit, they'll still be repeating the same old lies, obfuscations, and half-truths. We'll be calling Congress to let them know we won't fall for their crap anymore.
WE NEED YOU TO CALL TOMORROW TO TELL THESE POLITICIANS TO WAKE UP! CLICK TO JOIN UP IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO ALREADY!
