Perhaps I am being too sensitive, perhaps I am not; make up your own mind.
But I am not the only one
Yesterday, racist billboards went up in Soho attacking black women and our human rights by claiming “the most dangerous place for an African American child is in the womb.” SisterSong, a coalition of 80 women of color and Indigenous women’s organizations, denounces this cynical attempt to use race during Black History Month as an excuse to assault women’s rights. Black women are not the pawns of these white people who erect such billboards. We find them offensive, racist, sexist and – most of all – disrespectful of our decision making, our 400-year history of raising and caring for black children, and our human right to make health care choices for ourselves.
The all out war on women now has a new vile additive; racism.
This is going to be up in the air over New York for three weeks during Black History month.
The suggestions is that black mothers are more dangerous than rapists and murderers.
It's disgusting.

During Black History Month, we celebrate our history, but our future is in jeopardy as a
genocidal plot is carried out through abortion,” said Life Always Board Member Pastor Stephen
Broden.
"We have seen the heartbreaking effects of opportunists who happen to be Black Abortionists
perpetrating this atrocity; it’s not just babies who are in danger, it’s also their mothers, and our
society at large,” he added.
The campaign launch is designed to raise public awareness of Planned Parenthood’s targeting
of minority neighborhoods. It comes just weeks after the city health department’s annual Vital
Statistics report revealed a 41 percent abortion rate - nearly twice the national average. Planned
Parenthood's annual report states that they perform 300,000+ abortions annually.

They attack the one provider of health care that is affordable to so many, pure demonisation and degradation of all women; and in particular the African American community.

Lamar
I recommend calling and being very polite but firm about the ad. The woman speaking with me seemed like-minded about the content and appreciated hearing from me.
Their corporate number is 800-235-2627.

It is with great joy that I write to report that Lamar Outdoor Advertising has agreed to pull the billboard on 6th Ave and Watts depicting an African-American girl with the disturbing tagline “The most dangerous place for African Americans is in the Womb” TODAY.
Following a letter to Peter Costanza, Vice President and General Manager of LaMar Billboards, written by the Women of Color Policy Network, NYU Wagner, Mr. Costanza responded affirmatively that they would remove the billboard. I truly believe that our collective quick action, phone calls and letters to the company are directly responsible for their decision to pull the ad.
