Is it any wonder that Republicans want Donald Trump to be President? Casinos operate in a way that's pleasing to the Fox News viewer. Inside a casino there are strictly defined winners and losers. The winners are given their own high roller sections, and given what all winners deserve, free stuff like comped luxury suites. They are kept away from the losers by cameras and big security guys and their own elevators. The losers get their pockets emptied, and maybe a free drink to comfort the loss. But the dream is still dangled in front of them, they are just one jackpot away from being winners themselves.
The winners have their $1000 burgers with gold flakes and truffles, and the losers are lined up at the starch trough to stuff their face with the cheapest possible edible items. The winners take the elevator to ground level and go shopping in the Ferrari store, the losers take their tickets over to the plastic crap and candy store. The winners get front row seats to Celine Dion, the losers get to look at the pretty impressive water fountain. Is this not the America that Fox and their friends are constantly pushing for?
I could go on and on... the winners have high priced escorts and cocaine delivered by limo, the losers get arrested for smoking a joint in the parking garage. The winners sit alone with a dealer at a wide open table, the losers are packed like sardines at low limit tables.
Casinos are a bastion of freedom, the last great place to smoke cigarettes inside and spit on the floor if you want to (not sure about that). Casinos don't give a crap if there's no water where they want to locate, give us some of those other states' water and crank up the gaudy gold air conditioner! Women in casinos wear tight and small outfits and hustle for tips. Men that work in casinos wear sharp suits and can fix any problem. And in the end the casino is controlled by the privileged few, who if they don't go bankrupt because they suck at being businessmen, profit off of every transaction.
The class system inside a casino, is just like the one Republicans have tried to build outside the casino. The privileged few get big tax cuts and loopholes, bailouts and bonuses, those without need to work till they're 70. And they damn well shouldn't get more healthcare in their old age than what's left in the treasury after those tax cuts and loopholes, and bailouts and bonuses have shattered federal revenues. And before they get that healthcare, the for profit privileged healthcare industry needs to wet their beak. Yes before you get that valve replacement, Paul Ryan and friends demand that someone make some profit.
And the casino's winners and losers mirror the GOP War on Drugs and for profit prison schemes. The privileged powder cocaine user gets significantly less punishment, while the underprivileged crack cocaine user is locked up for sure. This disparity amongst other punishment of the underprivileged has led our nation to have 5% of the World's population, and 25% of its' prisoners. And believe it or not, those 25% (save Bernie Madoff) don't look or act anything like Donald Trump or most that would vote for him. Our prison system is so upside down that there's now a school to prisons pipeline that gives harsh punishments to the underprivileged and sets them on track for prison. But the privileged get their parents lawyer to come to school so they won't even miss a day of class even though they brutally kicked another child in the head (this happened at my middle school). GOP leaders are even working on a law where if you look like you might be a criminal, you can be stopped and harassed. Ultimately it's just another sneaky ploy to give big federal dollars to private industry on the backs of the not so Caucasian.
Wherever you look at Republican plans, it involves the privileged profiting and the underprivileged working a little bit harder, pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps. GOP governors and legislators are working hard to make it so the underprivileged have to jump through hoops just to vote. Look at their opposition to high speed rail, it's sickening to them that a major industry could be opening up, and no public big shots will be raking in the lion's share of profits? That disturbs them, and must not happen in their America. There is no place, that they don't want to take industry out of government's hands and put it into the control of the wealthy few. Schools? Privatize um. Prisons? Privatize it. Military. Get some more dang profit in there. Social Security? Better run that through the Wall Street machine first.
With these priorities is it still any wonder why GOP voters would support a billionaire casino executive who lives like top tier Saudi royalty and treats the current President like he's an unworthy cheater?
