He had a Town Hall Meeting tonight in Brooklyn (tomorrow night it's Staten Islands turn) and because I got mad when one of his planted supporters called Affordable Healthcare "Obama Care" he threatened to throw me out of the Town Hall. Of course, I was VERY VOCAL during the entire meeting so that could of had something to do with it but when the entire media at the event came to where we were he backed off.
The entire Town Hall was very vocal with the majority AGAINST changes to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Grimm Reaper at one point asked who were his supporters and then made it sound like his "non supporters" weren't going to vote for him anyway so he didn't care what we had to say. When I made a comment that they also voted to defund Planned Parenthood and the EPA he stated that he was against abortion and I reminded him that only 3% and all non-government funds was spent on abortions and he didn't like that and denied it but so many people yelled out that I was right he backed off. He tried to tell us that this was all the fault of Obama but time and time again a large majority of the crowd corrected him very loudly. He was told in no uncertain terms hands off Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, he was told that you've squeezed the middle class, working poor and poor enough and now its time (past time actually) for the rich to pay their fair share. He feels that we should lower corporate and tax on the wealthy to 25% but I told him that that would be what the tax was during Hoover's Administration and we all know when happened then. We told him to bring jobs back to our Country. He stated that the Ryan Plan IS NOT A VOUCHER PROGRAM (again the attendees jumped on him regarding this). When he stated that the plan was "only a blueprint" he couldn't answer when a woman asked him then why did he vote for it if its only a "blueprint." He also stated that he WOULD NOT be voting to raise the debt ceiling without cuts to programs and we let him know that by doing that he will destory the economy of not only the USA but probably of every country in the universe.
Actually, after being told that he wouldn't take comments directly from the attendees but written down and from a moderator we didn't even give the moderator a chance to ask 1 (ONE) question and she just stood there asking us to calm down and to give someone else a change to speak.
Working Families, Move One, The New York Times (who interviewed me but were more concerned with Grimm's FBI problem), Staten Island Advance, Wall Street Journal, Daily News and several TV Stations were all in attendance. WF and Move On were great and then even had someone there dressed as the Grimm Reaper. Plenty of signs and I can't wait to hear what happens tomorrow at the Staten Island Town Hall.
