As just another leftover DFH, "I have always let my freak flag fly". As you can see by the picture below.
This has been the case ever since I got out of the Army 41 years ago and vowed not to get my hair cut again, see below circa 1972.
I will admit that I have had it shortened every once in a while to get rid of split ends and the old picture was taken when I was getting ready to start work at Dammasch State Hospital, a mental hospital, asylum, and educational center located in Wilsonville, Oregon. The only education I experienced there was that you couldn't tell the staff from the patients except for the uniform. That and "Big Nurse" was alive and well on my ward and electric shock therapy is a sickening thing to watch and refusing to escort patients there got me fired. Also too, I had to shorten my hair because it was a "health hazard", but only if you were male. But I digress, about changing my hair style after the Fleur-de-Kos.
My hair is now almost down to my waist and my four options generally are; no restraints (free at last), tie it back with three hair bungees, one braid, or a Willie Nelson look with two braids. Boring.
So I was thinking with a bit of hair gel...
