Just a quick diary to share hard facts about Obama's poll position after locating and destroying Osama Bin Laden. The source: The Washington Post and the Pew Research Center. The findings:
1. 56% of Americans now approve of the way Obama is handling his job as president. That's an "increase of nine percentage points over April polls by Post-ABC News and Pew. That is the highest approval rating for the president in either poll since 2009."
2. 60% of Americans now approve of the way he is handling the war on terror.
3. 75% of Americans believe Obama deserves credit for bring OBL to justice.
4. 61% of republicans say Obama deserves some credit for OBL's demise while only 17% of them believe he deserves a "great deal" of credit. Wow???
This poll was conducted Monday night.
Obama also got a two-point overnight bump in the Gallup daily tracking and is sitting at 47/44.

CNN breaking poll confirms the WAPO results. They had Obama at 48/52, thru April, 10th, and 52/43 on May 2nd--which represents a 13 point swing.
