USA Today:
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was formally elected today as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.
President Obama called in to the DNC meeting to congratulate the Florida congresswoman, who is known as a tireless campaigner and fundraiser.
"I am reminded of something that Michelle said: If you need something done, give it to a busy woman," Obama said. "Thank you for affirming my selection. Debbie is the right person for the moment, not only because she has got great strategic sense and unbelievable energy. ...She embodies the core values of what we cherish in America."
Somehow, it seems fitting that as Wasserman Schultz was being formally selected, House Republicans were busily voting on HR3, the largest assault on women's rights and privacy in years.
