This is a short diary as the sources are thin and I'm not sure if there is a LGBT connection besides location.
From El Paso Times:
A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after he was attacked by a group of men outside a nightclub in Downtown El Paso, officials said.
Police said the man was waiting for a ride outside the Old Plantation Night Club, 301 S. Ochoa, when a verbal confrontation began between the victim and six other males.
Police said that the verbal confrontation became physical and the six suspects allegedly began punching, kicking the victim. The group allegedly also used a bat to hit the victim.
More after the break:
The victim is hospitalized. The location of the attack was apparently a LGBTQI bar.
From kiva (dot) com:
A friend of the victim tried to intervene, but was stopped by one of the six men when he struck her Jeep with a bat and damaged the windshield, according to police.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.
The suspects fled the area in a van-type vehicle. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the El Paso Police Department 915-832-4400 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477.
