When the Defense department released the OBL home videos this past weekend, our holier than thou Fox news refused to show their audience the live tapes. Um, they were apparently concerned that their 80 year-old viewers might read OBL lips—even though he was speaking Farsi and then—go blow-up the bingo room.
Yes, I’m kidding about the bingo room but seriously—check this out:
“Fox News anchor Jamie Colby explained FNC’s policy: “We are only showing you these stills, and not the video. It is our position that we will not ever air video that would serve as propaganda.”

Ahh man-- aren’t you just oozing with pride by Fox’s principled stand? They are the only media outlet bold enough to patriotically stand up against our president and this “propaganda inspiring” Department of Defense because just like father, Fox knows best.
Fox news does not believe in propaganda…people.
Got it?
Got it.
Oh wait—hold on, we have a problem here.
This morning, Bill Hemmer conducted a full interview with one of their reporters in Pakistan who was in front of an anti-American, Bin Laden supporting, propaganda spewing group. Now in Fox’s defense, they did stand in the distance (which was probably more fear related than anything) but still-- they aired a full segment of hateful propaganda—with screaming speeches, flag burning and the whole nine.
What horrors--people, what outrage, what hypocrisy at Fox news for airing angry anti-American propaganda. They claimed only two hundred protesters were there—but now, millions of viewers all over the world have heard their messages because Fox news has elevated them like they did the tea party protesters in 2009.
Ten seconds of a silent OBL rocking his nasty old “skully” in a cob-web filled situation room was a bridge too far for fox viewers—but a full segment of anti-American hate is must see breaking news?
So much hypocrisy, so little time.
The real deal is that Fox will give full voice to “any” protest against Obama even if it’s by a small group in a dangerous foreign country.
Fox news doesn’t believe in propaganda?
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
