"Why keep pushing something if it's political kryptonite and it's not going anywhere anyway?" said one GOP strategist, who asked not to be named in order to speak freely.
What on earth could they be talking about?
What is this "Political Kryptonite", to counteract the GOP super-ascent back into power, last Fall?
Any Guesses?
What will Gophers be running from, like Clark Kent from a green meteor rock, as the next voting season nears?
What will become the "Political Kryptonite" of the GOP ?
Is it (A) their presumed votes, to protect Subsidies to Big Oil, that Senate Dems plan to bring to a vote soon?
[Sherrod] Brown told reporters that the [end the Oil Subsidies] plan will "Call the Republicans' bluff -- do they really care about deficit reduction?"
Is it (B) their Party's Governors stubbornly canceling all Clean Energy Projects that would be good American Jobs?
Yet Mr. [Rick] Scott has moved to squash the project nonetheless, acting before those companies were supposed to respond to the state high speed rail authority’s request for proposals.
Or is it (C) their Voting in Lockstep for the Ryan Budget, before taking the temperature of the room?
Democrats have attacked the [Ryan] Medicare proposal, and polls have shown formidable public disapproval of it. Many Republican lawmakers ran into a wall of voter opposition during a congressional spring recess.
So which is it, that has the potential to become, the "Political Kryptonite" for the GOP, as their own strategist called it, A, B, or C ?
Or maybe, perhaps All Three ... can stop them in their Tracks ... ?
Which would be just "Super" ... if you asked me.
