Now mind you, this isn't a bad recipe. Maybe I just got those fake jalapenos they infest our markets with these days, the ones that aren't hot.
It came out okay, but it seems to need something to give it a little more zip.
Suggestions?
This is the recipe: chop up all of this fine, mix it up and put it into the refrigerator for an hour.
One cup of fresh pineapple
Two tablespoons of red onion
One tablespoon each of:
green onion, cilantro, red bell pepper, honey
One tablespoon of honey
Dash of ground red chile
Two tsp jalapeno, minced
Juice from a lime
Quarter tsp black pepper.
Like I said, this wasn't bad, but it wasn't what it could be.
I'm also looking to do something like this with mango. The way you do it with mango is you use mango that isn't quite ripe. Basically the same concept otherwise, though.
Thanks.
