The reality of the situation is that I am very poor, greatly underemployed given my education. If people only knew the reality of the situation, despite my education...
But it is time ! It's time to invest in our future! It's time to fight back against the war on women and the 99 percent ! In 2008, I got involved much earlier because of the primary. I donated a little as often as I could. The Republicans will depend upon a number of very wealthy donors. President Obama and our Democratic Party depend much more than they do upon many people donating a little. My donation was as much as I could afford; unfortunately, not much $10.00 . I will donate as often as I can. I hope that others also begin to sense that now is the time to mobilize and donate.
I would ask for all Obama supporters who are able to please consider making a donation, a small one, perhaps of $10.00 or $5.00 . If you absolutely can't, then everyone understands that. But if you can make even a small donation, it will help.
This President has been the best President of my lifetime. I am very proud of him. He took an economy that was going over the cliff and turned it around. We were losing jobs at a rate of 750,000 jobs a month. Now, we are gaining jobs at a rate of almost 250,000 a month.
Consumer confidence has risen to the highest level in years. Even Fox News has a poll that says that 58% of Americans know that the economy is improving. President Obama saved the auto industry. President Obama has turned around the manufacturing sector of our economy. He ended the war in Iraq. He caught Osama Bin Laden. He greatly expanded health insurance coverage. He appointed two great Supreme Court Justices. He has demonstrated intelligence, determination, courage, poise, compassion, wisdom, and a willingness to attempt to work with the other side whenever possible.
If President Obama does not win reelection, then Mitt Romney will become President. One of these two men will become President. I have presented a short positive argument for the President. Others can compose an argument in more detail. However, there is also the argument against Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney now says that he will defund Planned Parenthood. He signed on to the Personhood Amendment in Mississippi. He signed on to privatizing Medicare - the Ryan bill. He will appoint Anti Choice Justices. He wanted to let Detroit go bankrupt. He signed onto SB 5 anti union legislation in Ohio. His economic plans is like Bush on steroids. It benefits the 1 percent and hurts everybody else. He opposes fighting climate change. He opposes equality. He opposes the Dream Act.
There are many more reasons why one would want to fight against Mitt Romney winning the Presidential election.
On www.barackobama.com they invite people to watch the 17 minute Obama video at 8 pm ET. And we can go to www.barackobama.com to donate.
4:52 PM PT: This was my first donation at the Presidential level for the 2012 campaign. Many people have already heavily invested in his reelection campaign, but perhaps there are many people like me who really struggle financially who had not yet participated, largely due to our financial struggles.
