This American Life has now retracted their January story on working conditions at the Foxconn factory in China that makes products for Apple. The story was based on information from Mike Daisey, which has now been found to be false (and admitted as such by Daisey himself). The details of the retraction can be found here:

This of course does not mean that there are no problems at all with conditions at Foxconn, or that we should not be concerned for workers there, just that some of the specific allegations made in this program are now discredited (for example, Daisey's claims that he met workers injured by n-hexane and also met another man who mangled his hand while making ipads).
