He endorsed President Obama and now, despite the money to be made, Mayor Bloomberg et al have decided not to hold the NYC marathon this Sunday.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if they used the generators, volunteers, and all resources, energy and enthusiasm already in NYC for the marathon to help those desperate people who lost power or lost everything?

The New York City marathon will not take place this Sunday, NBC 4 New York has learned.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg had defended his decision to hold the 26.2-mile race as scheduled on Sunday, although many New Yorkers complained it would be insensitive and divert city resources at a time when many are suffering.
Bloomberg said the marathon would "give people something to cheer about in what has been a very dismal week for a lot of people."
