Thank you for the warning, Congressman Grayson, and for sharing the following:
It is ironic in a way that the government thinks it's alright to have a record of every single call that an American makes, but not alright for an American citizen to know what sovereign powers the government is negotiating away.
Having seen what I’ve seen, I would characterize this as a gross abrogation of American sovereignty. And I would further characterize it as a punch in the face to the middle class of America. I think that’s fair to say from what I’ve seen so far. But I’m not allowed to tell you why!

I Saw the Secret Trade Deal in which Grayson states:
This agreement hands the sovereignty of our country over to corporate interests.
What are Wyden, Grayson, and Issa so upset about?
Democratic Senator Wyden – the head of the committee which is supposed to oversee it – is so furious about the lack of access that he has introduced legislation to force disclosure.
Republican House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa is so upset by it that he has leaked a document on his website to show what’s going on.
What is everyone so furious about?
An international treaty being negotiated in secret which would not only crack down on Internet privacy much more than SOPA or ACTA, but would actually destroy the sovereignty of the U.S. and all other signatories.
It is called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
I don't dare to write much about it,
BECAUSE IT'S A SECRET AGREEMENT.
That's right. Secret. Our sovereignty is being negotiated into the trash bin in secret.
Congressman Alan Grayson is the only person that has been allowed to read the TPP agreement but he can't tell us why he objects to it because
IT'S A SECRET
The 17th Round of the Trans-Pacific Partnership talks will be held in Lima Peru from May 15 to May 24.
This NAFTA-like trade deal is being negotiated in secret.
Over 600 corporations provide advisers to the talks but Our Congress is denied information on the contents of the treaty.
Congressman Alan Grayson, Central Florida AFL-CIO President, Lorraine Tuliano, and guests, will speak out against this secretive and undemocratic process and what is known about the contents of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
I assure you, the
Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is all over this secret plan. The media doesn't say too much about the CFR, ever notice?

The Trans-Pacific Partnership A Quest for a Twenty-first Century Trade Agreement
The TPP also aims to improve regulatory coherence, enhance production supply chains and help boost small and medium-sized enterprises. It could transform relations with regions such as Latin America, paving the way to an eventual Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific, or see innovations translated into the global trade regulatory system operating under the WTO.
Yes, we know how much corporations love them some regulations! snark
I wonder if these are some of the 600 corporations pushing for TPP? DOUBLE CLICK to see larger version.
CFR's Corporate Members from their website:
I wonder if the EU Free Trade Agreement proposals are secret, too? Oh rats, yes (see below).
Neo-liberalism is bi-partisan.
And so is push back to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Hmmmm
Perhaps TPP and the Trade Agreements are the only way to avoid a big war over global profit-sharing.
If so, it makes perfect sense to secretly negotiate away all sovereignty (multi-national corporations don't have any), create a global profit-sharing league of corrupt political leaders, think tankers, techno/bureaucrats, and former military leaders who will share in the wealth, while the multi-nationals who now run the world rape, pillage, pollute, and profit by exploiting earth's resources including the 99%.
I wonder what real estate the Trade Agreement planners intend to live on? Islands? Surely not amidst the hungry, homeless, desperate angry mobs.
Maybe my nightmare was prophetic.
In a dream, I saw the poor and indebted US citizens being shipped to China to work off their debt and/or die in China, while the rich Chinese, weary of pollution, took over the millions of newly built homes in America.
I awoke in a cold sweat. My kids are in debt.
True story!

Trans-Pacific Partnership: The biggest trade deal you’ve never heard of
The Trans-Pacific Partnership is the first international commercial agreement pursued by this administration to date from scratch. And, it (TPP) would be the largest one since the 1995 World Trade Organization. It would link Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, Mexico and Canada into a “free trade” zone similar to that of NAFTA.
The subject matter being negotiated extends far beyond traditional trade matters.
TPP’s 29 chapters would set binding rules on everything from service-sector regulation, investment, patents and copyrights, government procurement, financial regulation, and labor and environmental standards, as well as trade in industrial goods and agriculture.
WOW!
WHY DO DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTS DO THIS STUFF?
