As usual, the Guardian publishes something, and the paranoid anti-NSA crowd rushes in to talk about it.
The fact remains that the Guardian has an agenda, which is of course to cast doubt upon the United States. Therefore, ANYTHING that is published there needs to be vetted by at least 3 American news organizations before we should talk about it. I mean, SURE, occasionally the New York Times will get lucky, but as we can see THIS sound clip, there is absolute proof they are NOT the best source.
(More Reasons that this is a Non-Story on the Flip)
Now then, It is very clear that in the first part, this story is based off the "Eyewitness" account of only ONE person, and that person is closely involved with the journalist in question! That by its very nature should make us completely suspicious of any and all claims made in the story.
Clearly this account should have been vetted by an official journalist who is NOT in any way related to the case. Of course, what is very important in this case is the fact there was probably a reason for the detainment. As such, Not giving top billing to the stated reason is being completely disingenuous and attempting to stoke up pity for the perpetrator, which is of course not the job of a journalist. A journalist's job is to report the facts, and only the facts which are of course given out in press releases. The government has already done most of the work for the reporters, and it is a supreme act of ego for a reporter to claim that they can do a better job.
In addition, there seems to be a conspiracy among these reporters to discredit the NSA. Notice how the same names keep cropping up in every story about the NSA. Greenwald, Snowden, Assange, and Manning. This suggests that there is a reason that these people are being monitored, and their criminal conspiracy MUST be brought to light. After all, Assange commented on the Snowden story, who leaked the information to Greenwald, who has sympathy and has made statements to the fact that Manning was "Unjustly" punished. See the pattern? Clearly they're ALL in on it.
Therefore, because of this global conspiracy which reaches all the way to Russia and China, we can safely ignore any and all claims made by these "News Organizations". As a result, we must take great pains to consider any and all of their stories a Conspiracy Theory, being perpetrated by a Conspiracy of Reporters and Criminals, for the sole purpose of making the Democrats lose the election!
For what purpose, you ask? Why, for money of course! The Republicans are MUCH better at making scandals than the Democrats, and as a result as soon as they are in power, the Reporters and "Whistleblowers" will be able to make MUCH more money and the people will eagerly trust them even more fully!
If you can't see, it, you're obviously a paranoid person who has completely bought in to the Criminal Reporter Conspiracy!
6:22 PM PT: And thanks for the Rec List, folks! Always a pleasure to be here, and regardless of any other considerations, I appreciate being here.
