U.S. Senator Ted Cruz speaks to Repulicans in Waco, Texas, on Aug. 22, 2013.
The Calgary Cruz Comedy Parade
continues:
Cruz made stops in Austin earlier in the day on Thursday, visiting National Instruments and attending a ribbon cutting for a new VA clinic.
During his speech at the West Benefit Dinner, Cruz urged the audience to rise up against Obamacare.
"Just like the Founding Fathers did, rising up against the British. Just like the Texans did in Gonzales and the Alamo and San Jacinto, rising up against General Santa Anna. We see Americans rise up and say we want our freedom back," Cruz said. "That's how we get it done."
Yes, exactly! Ted Cruz Republicans are just like the Founding Fathers, and President Obama is just like the British. And even though King Barack may have "won" the battle when he signed Obamacare into law, in the end, America's new Freedom Fighters will win the war by screaming "Remember the Obamacare" as General Cruz leads them in their courageous struggle for Everything That Is Good, Just, and Right™.
It totally makes complete sense. But aside from being curious about specifically what freedoms Cruz doesn't have now that he had four years ago, the big question I have is whether he honestly thinks he can win a war, given that his side not only couldn't win the election last November, but chose the guy who invented Obamacare to be their nominee.
