Good Morning all y'all.. Welcome to KosKraft, Issue 19.
This Group is for all those creative kossack artisans, plying away at their benches. If you make things, please join, and maybe give us a look at your work.
After the spheroid condenser.
I'll be off to my suppliers this morning. Make a little money, give it to someone else. It's as if money was a hot potato. That's the nature of a crafty micro business.
In this economy, the self employed business is rampant. People unable to find work, can't get any unemployment, etc, turn to themselves. For most of us, after the "turn in your friends and family" marketing to get off the ground, you are stuck with actually trying to find customers. Up go the websites, get the booth at the local sidewalk fair, inundate the niche forums. All of a sudden you are spending all your time running a website, packing up for the fair, or promoting yourself on the internet. There's barely enough time left to actually be creative, or fill that one order you did get.
But at least I get to walk down the road, and see this every once in awhile.
Bread and butter things are made for fairs. Belts, bracelets, cell phone cases. credit card wallets.
Well, for all you makers out there, "Chin up. Shut up, and keep swimming"
Well, that's all for now.
All Kossack Artisans are welcome to join the group, just send me a PM.
In the meantime, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the KosKatalog. They do yeoman's work in there, and it's about as business close to supporting "local" as you can get on the inter tubes.
Another crafty place to hang around...
