The President has the right to do what he wants.
President Obama "has the right to do this no matter what Congress does", said secretary of state John Kerry, one of the leading advocates of a military assault on dictator Bashar al-Assad for allegedly using chemical weapons on 12 neighborhoods outside Damascus on 21 August.
He doesn't need to listen to congress!
We have proof!
Where have I have heard all this before oh right.
Kerry said on October 9, 2002; "I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force, if necessary, to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
I suppose once again he is going to run for President in 2016 and is just getting the press clippings in order to show how strong he is on defense.
Cannot we wait at least until
Nesirky said the UN chemical weapons inspection team is now in The Hague, where samples they collected in Syria are expected to be repackaged and sent to laboratories around Europe for analysis.
"This is not an electoral process, where you have exit polls and preliminary results," he said.
"This is a scientific process. The only result that counts is the result of the analysis in laboratories and the analysis of the evidence that's been collected through witness statements and so on."
How about the
doing something positive
Today one million children just like Aya are living as refugees after fleeing from the violent war in Syria. The vast majority of these children are under the age of 11.
Rather than lauding Presidential power to bomb who the fuck he likes how about helping those who need help now?
Or is calling for bombing sexier and makes for better soundbites for a future political campaign?
"We have a coalition of more than a few," Kerry said, "but this is a situation that's going to grow as the evidence comes out."
We have a hand full!
One...two...few....many! Maybe!
Of course he has to assure the usual suspects
Kerry, responding to McCain and Graham, said he was confident the two senators would become convinced that "there will be additional pressure" on Assad.
Ah the bomb, bomb, bomb trio
12:00 PM PT: OK perhaps I should have titled it.
Would John Kerry Kindly Please Tone Down the Rhetoric and wait For The UN Report.
As for being disrespectful to my fellow Kossaks; to that I strongly object I have always tried to keep my tone civil, if somewhat snarky.
As for the comment about me supporting war crimes I believe my reply to have been more than restrained.
Shame the conversation turned more to my tone than the tone of the rhetoric being used that may add to the carnage,
