What a horrible way to dishonor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., than to threaten the African American President of the United States with hanging.
But that's what Republican Josh Black, a candidate for Florida House District 68, did today, tweeting to his followers, that he's "past impeachment. It's time to arrest and hang him high."
Him, of course, would be President Barack Obama.

Threatening the President of the United States is a class D felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States". The United States Secret Service investigates suspected violations of this law and monitors those who have a history of threatening the President.
When questioned by fellow Republican Chris Latvala about his comments, Black did not back down, saying that he's not "intimidated by the Secret Service."
