A critical election Tuesday Jan 21 in the VA 33d state district (Northern VA): Dem Jennifer Wexton is running to replace new VA attorney general Mark Herring in the state legislature.
Bad weather is expected, but please, don't let that stop you, get out early and vote!!!!
More below the fold.
If anything told us that "every vote counts" is not a nostrum but a real truth, it was the VA attorney general contest recently concluded after a painstaking recount.
Tuesday Jan 21 is the date for the election to select the replacement for Mark Herring, our new Democratic attorney general in Virginia, who won by a very thin margin after an excruciating recount.
Bad weather is coming, snow by morning and maybe heavy snow by rush hour. Please don't let that stop you. The state says that polls will be open even if schools are closed.
Get out early and vote. Virginia desperately needs candidate Jennifer Wexton, who startled the state Republicans with her in your face ads demanding women's reproductive rights in the face of right wing legislative and regulatory assaults in the state.
Herring has heartily endorsed Wexton, by the way.
So make your vote the one that puts Jennifer over the top. If you go to work, go early and vote on the way in. If you leave work early for home, vote on your way home. If you don't go to work, go vote anyway. Virginia needs every Democratic vote it can get in the state legislature.
