I love this woman. She knows how to throw a punch:
We don’t blame you if you did a double take when you read the subject line. No need to adjust the display on your screen. It turns out that Mike Huckabee – one of Mitch McConnell’s most touted supporters – actually said this in reference to women yesterday:
Huckabee said that Democrats tell women “they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of government.”
This kind of extreme, anti-women rhetoric effortlessly aligns with McConnell’s abysmal record on issues important to women and families. Mitch owes us an explanation.
Ask Mitch McConnell: do you endorse Mike Huckabee’s offensive commentary just as he’s so enthusiastically endorsed your campaign?

If one of McConnell’s biggest backers heralds this kind of out-of-touch rhetoric, how far could Mitch be on his own anti-women agenda? Not far at all evidently. Whether it’s voting against equal pay for equal work or labeling the Violence Against Women Act a “distraction,” Mitch McConnell has failed to fight for women during his 30 years in Washington.
The women of Kentucky deserve an answer: will McConnell continue to tout Huckabee’s support or is he finally going to stand with people he supposedly represents?
Tell McConnell: We will not stand for anymore of this kind of failed leadership.
