There's not going to be any military adventure. The EU won't get involved militarily. The US can't get involved militarily. Russia doesn't need to get any further involved militarily; they've made their point.
The EU has very little real influence on events; they're not willing to put up the money which will be needed to prop up a government which they might prefer to be in power.
The same goes for the US.
Russia does have the money and the will to use it, and will put it up if it's in their interests.
The people of Ukraine have begun to realize all of the above, and the realities of the turmoil which are emerging in the country, such as growing anarchy, efforts to seize power by groups which are much worse than those which the recent protests were against, shortages of food, and severe economic problems, are being seen and experienced by the general population of Ukraine.
In the best case scenario things will begin to calm down and life will begin to return to normal. Fortunately there has not been a great deal of loss of life which could inflame emotions and lead to ever-growing rounds of retaliation and revenge.
It is possible that a kind of federated system might result from the current upheaval, but I don't think that's likely right now. Ukrainians of all ethnicities are generally happy with being Ukrainians and won't want to see their homeland split up.
In the worst case scenario international money interests might get their claws deeper into Ukraine resulting in externally imposed 'corrective economic measures' which will only further impoverish the people of Ukraine.
From the Turkish perspective:
The Turkish Government has made almost no comments on the events in Ukraine; supporting the protests would call into question their behavior towards the protests in Turkey, supporting the Ukrainian Government would put them at odds with Western governments, and they don't want to piss off the Russian Government.
The people of Turkey have been watching the events in Ukraine, and the reaction has almost unanimously been "No matter how much the government may be disliked, we don't want that to happen here. We had enough anarchy in the 1970s."
