News outlets are reporting that Casey Kasem has passed away.
He's probably best remembered for his radio work on American Top 40, the long-running popular music program that was broadcast around the country for decades, and for his voice acting work in TV shows and the movies. (He was the voice of Shaggy in the cartoon series Scooby Doo.) But he was also a long-time activist for liberal causes, including the Arab-American civil rights and anti-nuclear arms movements.
Casey, here is my long-distance dedication.
