The Hill carries news about EPA chief Gina McCarthy, who gave a speech at the think tank Resources for the Future. Her speech was a strong rebuttal to the common denier/delayer talking point that taking action on climate change is too expensive.
According to Politico, she "ripped climate skeptics" by saying it's "sad" that they "hide behind the word 'economy' to protect their own special-interests" before inviting them to "do the math" about the additional $150 billion cost of 3°C of warming instead of 2°C.
The best line though, was that we should be tackling climate change not "despite the economy" but "because of it."
