Now that we've established that Barack Obama is not going to Paris for a symbolic photo-op with other world leaders is the
newest worst thing to have ever happened, all that's left is for each and every last conservative deep thinker that wants in on that action to post their own Hot Takes. Texas-elected Congressman Randy Weber obliges via Twitter:
Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn't do it for right reasons
Surely, a hotter take has never been take-ed. He even put the parenthetical part noting that he disagrees with Hitler, just to make sure his stance on that one has been made clear.
Apropos of nothing in particular, it occurred to me recently that this new Texas tradition of electing people to higher office who are, to put it politely, brick stupid might coincide with the modern Texas tradition of regulating industry and pollution as little as possible. Perhaps medical science will one day be able to link the rise of a Louie Gohmert or a Randy Weber directly to groundwater contamination.
11:15 AM PT: And Weber has now released a statement apologizing for the tweet, saying he now understands that Hitler was bad.
