Bernie's on the move!
If there was a Facebook primary....
it's starting to look like Bernie Sanders is gaining some serious steam and could possibly win this thing.
Using the Quintly Facebook comparison site I've found some shocking stats:
It hovers around 400 like per hour for Bernie and around 200 likes per hour for Hillary.
Bernie is getting around
2 TIMES the amount of "Likes" per hour than Hillary - around 10k new likes a day.
Now I checked this page 2 weeks when the campaign was just getting started... and Hillary was the clear winner using the metric on this site back then.
Now check out the following graph:
Bernie's getting a huge boost in "Likes" and losing less than Hillary.
See those blue bumps going down? That's
LOSING likes.
I do like Hillary. I think she'll be a good President if she's nominated.
But what do they say... I like Hillary - but I LOVE Bernie.
His vision of the ideal America is the same as mine. I think with Hillary we'll continue on the same path that we're on now with Obama. A good path for sure and much better than having a Republican in charge.
But with Bernie for some reason I feel... well I feel Bernie is the Obama that I wished Obama really was.
In 2008 it was the young idealists like myself that helped Obama get elected. And now we're seeing a whole new group of young idealist millennials that are supporting Bernie Sanders.
And speaking of young people and Facebook... there is another thing that has been taking Twitter and Facebook by storm:
The Isidewith.com site.
For those of you who don't know... it's a site that polls you with your political views and then gives you results and tells you which candidate shares your beliefs.
This was my result:
59% agree with Jeb? Who knew... probably because I feel people should learn English during the immigration process. (and I think all Americans should be bilingual as well but that's another diary)
You'll be surprised what result you'll get.
Many people are reporting that they are sharing it with their friends on Facebook and even some people who they would think are conservative are getting... you guessed it... results that they agree with Bernie Sanders.
Check out this thread on Reddit:
I sent this link to about 15 of my co-workers and it made for a very interesting day.
At about the same time, 3 people all came over to tell me that they got Bernie Sanders #1. Within minutes they became advocates for isidewith and another 5 people on my team did the quiz. Again, they all got Bernie Sanders #1. This really started a buzz because everyone had Bernie #1, but they all had different #2-#5. By the end of the day, everyone in my department took the quiz on isidewith and the results even shocked me. Everyone had Bernie #1, and #2-#5 results varied so much. It was clear to me that both Republicans and Democrats alike aligned with Bernie as the top choice.
It was definitely an eye opening experience. By the end of the day people were sending the link to friends/family on social media and I was having co-workers come up and tell me that they had a cousin or buddy from another state take it and they got Bernie #1 as well.
This by far has been my best way to tell people about Bernie. Please Please Please, share the link.
And this on another thread:
You're right! I'd been trying to convince my friend about Bernie for a month and she wanted to stick with Hillary. After she matched 98% with The Bern a few minutes ago, she finally agreed it was a good plan to vote for Bernie in the primary and then if Hillary still wins, her in the general election. One more heart won!
