Enough is Enough
Maybe I should have been done the one and only time I ever met Trump and his first words to me were a soliloquy about how black people loved him, and he was the most popular white man among black people.
Maybe I should have been done when Trump demanded to see the president’s birth certificate.
Maybe I should have been done any number of times over the years when Trump made any number of racist, sexist comments.
To sum up
He is different from Palin in 2010, however. He is not only running for office, he’s leading in the polls among Republican candidates. He can’t be ignored. But coverage is not the same as drooling over the daily shenanigans of a demagogue.
I will cover Trump as he addresses issues with specific policy prescriptions and details, like answers to the question Ramos asked.
Trump has managed to pretty much insult every American, even white men, by insulting their intelligence.
Some have argued that this is some type of hit and run on the GOP, I would argue that this is just the unvarnished Trump. Anyone but Trump, is grist for the mill.
I don't agree 100% with Blow, only because I regard social specifics as highly as I regard policy statements. The loathing that Trump brings to the fore are real throughout our society, the very fact they are popular is troubling, and you cannot deny their appeal by ignoring them.
Also I do not regard his campaign management as stupid, they are using some very potent propaganda techniques. Those that consider Trump to be too ignorant to become President have some very short memories, I regard him as a Dick Cheney with G W Bush's brain and sense of entitlement. The fact that the other GOP candidates cant touch him, speaks more of their lack of worth than it does of Trump's.
Blow didn't link Politico's The 199 Most Donald Trump Things Donald Trump Has Ever Said, the link is below.

If one sums him up:
36. Women: “You have to treat ’em like shit.”
Or anyone that is not Trump, for the sake of clarity.
47. “The show is ‘Trump.’ And it is sold-out performances everywhere.”
Some may well argue that Trump is a train wreck and wont get to the end of the race. I say that is irrelevant as the damage caused by this vile showman is going to take quite some cleaning up. Just look at what he has been able to make the other buffoons in the GOP primary say. They would have been so much more credible if they had said nothing at all, now they just look vicious and dumb.
If he gets bored of the GOP primary the best bet is he will run as a third party candidate, it's an opportunity for the Trump brand he cannot resist. He wont even have to slog at campaigning then, just go on TV and spew. This maybe great for the Democratic Party candidate, but the fallout will still be there and ever more vocal.
It's no wonder the white supremacists are getting excited, it will boost membership.
Trump maybe a snake oil salesman, but many have drunk the snake oil and found it to be just what the doctor ordered.
