Washington (CNN) -- After watching last night's debate at a cocktail party, the Washington, D.C. media corps huddled together and decided overwhelmingly to endorse Hillary for the Democratic nomination.
"Hillary crushed it! Nobody can sound as polished and rehearsed-without-sounding-rehearsed as Hillary," Mark Halperin exclaimed.
"When she was reminded that she called herself a progressive and centrist only weeks apart -- plainly two very distinct political ideologies -- she completely gutted the words of their meaning. Nobody can turn a phrase on a dime like Hillary can. A debate gold medal for her!" Chuck Todd marveled.
"And that time she said she was tougher on Wall Street than Bernie with a straight face, a day after attending a $2,700/plate fundraiser with Goldman Sachs execs? That was scary, but brilliant! I got chills!" laughed Cokie Roberts.
Mike Bloomberg added, "Thinking back to my days on the champion Harvard debate team, nobody could say nothing by saying so much as Hillary did last night. That's a skill that doesn't come easy, believe me. I'd be in the race myself if it did!"
When asked their favorite policy stance of hers, the room fell silent. "I thought this was a debate?" puzzled Matthew Dowd.
