So what's goin' on inside the big "D" Democratic Party? Why did DWS change the MONEY rules during the election season?,
"(DWS) has just lifted the last restrictions preventing the DNC from receiving direct contributions from Wall Street and special interest lobbyists.
Under the new rules, political action committees (PACs) and other corporate lobbyists and special interests are now free to donate unlimited sums to the DNC itself. "
It's obvious the wheels have come of the GOP nut wagon. Wall Street Investment Banks, Corporations (except for the true Kochheads) and Big Banks hate uncertainty. DWS just invited all of those groups to funnel money to the stable Democratic Party not only for the POTUS election but for down ballot elections too.
Remember the debt ceiling crisis? Recall how the stock market tanked? The Financial Powerhouses of the nation (and Internationals) would prefer "Third Way Democrats" in a majority in the Senate and a Clinton President to the unknowns the Tea Party Caucus could throw their way. Big Money prefers The Status Quo. They will be happy to allow a President Clinton to throw a few "socially liberal bones" to the proletariat as long as Corporate Rights reign over Citizen Rights and the steady march of wealth continues upward.
Why would DWS make this public at the risk of splintering off the progressive populist wing of the Party?
“Unpledged delegates exist really to make sure that party leaders and elected officials don’t have to be in a position where they are running against grassroots activists,” (Debbie)Wasserman Schultz calmly explained.
DWS wanted to assure the Financial Brokers that should they throw their money behind the Democratic Party, the Party Establishment will not allow grassroots dissenters to get elected in numbers large enough to develop a caucus of any significance like the Tea Party Caucus has done in the GOP.
Status Quo: A Clinton for President and Third Way Dems in a majority in the Senate.
DWS assumes that the sensibilities of most Dems will mean that they will "Vote Blue No Matter Who" because the GOP candidates are just too freakin' frightening. DWS doesn't care if "disaffected commoners” or "progressive populists leave the party in droves following the 2016 Elections. By then the Dems will have the reins of power and with the freaky disintegrating GOP in oppositions and big money in their court the Dems will be able to hold on through a few elections cycles, especially as they cater to their Big Money Backers.
