In the meet the press interview with HRC, one statement really made my head turn. When asked about who she will select for her running mate, she answered:
I am absolutely intending to look far and wide. And I think that is the best way to find somebody who can really capture what's needed in the country, and businesspeople have, especially successful businesspeople who are really successful as opposed to pretend successful, I think have a lot to offer.
Look at the last sentence of this statement. Is HRC specifically calling out successful business people as the ideal VP candidate? There are certainly plenty of them who are very progressive. It certainly would be an out of the box move if Hillary selected a VP such as Mark Cuban, Elon Musk, or Howard Schultz. Not only would such a candidate bring a new dimension to the campaign, they could campaign directly against Donald’s (pretend successful) business career with incredible authority.
I have been on the Clinton / Warren bandwagon, but I could see this as an interesting possibility.
