Good morning my fellow Village People, Hill peeps, interested observers and vocal detractors. This is a space for those of us who admired and supported Hillary Clinton during her run for the Presidency and continue to do so now, even though her bid was unsuccessful.
We understand that this is not a “safe space” in the classic sense and anyone is free to comment. We would ask that you to be respectful of the fact we are a community that has developed organically through the primary wars and the General Election and we genuinely enjoy discussing the political and sometimes non-political events of the day with each other.
If you choose to engage with us in a reasonable manner you will find that contrary to some accusations we do not live in an echo chamber. If you choose to engage with us in a condescending or horrible no good very bad way — be warned — we have recipes, cute pictures and the occasional sharp comment.
Happy chatting.
So my friends, I am still feeling down. Every time I think I have turned the corner something is there to make me feel worse — most notably Donald Trump and his proposed cabinet from hell. I did come across this piece from last week on Medium that made me feel prouder than ever of my support for HRC — she is a good person and I will honour her legacy by making sure I do my part to forward and champion the ideals set out in her campaign.
This is not the outcome we wanted or we worked so hard for, and I’m sorry we did not win this election for the values we share and the vision we hold for our country.
But I feel pride and gratitude for this wonderful campaign that we built together—this vast, diverse, creative, unruly, energized campaign. You represent the best of America, and being your candidate has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Just a reminder
Yes, we are aware that the popular vote does not matter but that she has won it — bigly — is a balm to the soul. Perhaps it is time for a change.
HRC is moving forward and so must we however heavy our hearts may be.
Yesterday PBO held his first full presser where he addressed DJT’s election. Here it is for those who missed it.
On the DJT side of things there are some ominous signs

and this wise woman
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'
