A political dynasty under FBI criminal investigation regardless of whether or not the investigation finds any “criminal” wrong doing is not a viable candidate for president. We already fucking knew this.
I don’t care if Hillary was/is INNOCENT. The perception that prevailed was that she was not. The perception was that she’s been around too long. From the Walmart board room, to singing the praise of TPP as the gold standard in paid private speeches to Wall st. Ah!, and when the substance of the Goldman speeches was finally revealed by Wikileaks we were told that it was the Russians fault. So it’s the Russians fault that HRC had a private stance on TPP that is not inline with the views of millions of Americans.
Bernie’s biggest mistake? Not attacking Clinton on emails because it may have “hurt” democrats. We could have ended the disastrous campaign devoid of enthusiasm. Sick and tired of the damn emails? Clinton claims the FBI “more emails announcement” cost her the election. Apparently, the American people were sick & tired too. They got to listen to the media go on about it for MONTHS. We were told to just ignore those right wing nuts! Well those wing nuts just chose our president.
The right skewered her. The story was dragged on for months & in the end the FBI dealt us an October surprise. We couldn’t even bring up the subject on this platform. Not addressing weaknesses & simply ignoring them isn’t conducive to developing a coherent & effective strategy. I fully expect the HillBear troop of folk to descend upon this diary and blame folks like me. Well guess what? I tried to sound the alarm and nobody wanted to address issues or develop strategies to counter the narrative that was playing out. Instead of talking to me — or anyone who questioned the insanity of putting up a candidate under FBI investigation we were told to shut up. we were banned. we were mocked. ( my favorite was LOLigarchy… it’s not funny now is it? )
COINTELPRO is alive and well. We just empowered bigots because we’re too caught up with appeasing the needs of wealthy donors & Wall st. Gross miscalculations. (#NODAPL, where is our progressive?”)
Oligarchy tried desperately to ignore & bury Bernie Sanders. If Democracy is to have any chance of success we must be willing to listen to each other. We must be willing & able to learn from this election. We have to reconsider the election results as a democratic loss: the outcome was the result of the over-arching policies of Greed failing to provide hope for all.
Good luck
