Actually, on this topic as well as many others, Donald Trump hearts whatever hearts him back. After all, Donald Trump’s version of the Golden Rule is "If he says great things about me, I'm going to say great things about him." and if anyone does something you don’t like hit them so hard they'll never recover.
At the moment, the Electoral college is on Trump’s good list.
But not so long ago he was ready to give that naughty college a good thrashin’, by gum.
Huh. What do you know. It’s almost as if Trump actually has no underlying morals or positions at all, and simply shifts his views to whatever pleases him at the moment.
Honestly, Donald Trump probably thinks the Electoral College plays in the SEC, but every four years he does notice the difference between electoral votes and popular vote long enough to be upset / ecstatic. Trump was ready to say the cheerleaders for the EC football team were fours at best when he thought Mitt Romney had edged Barack Obama on the popular vote four years ago, and Donald Trump’s idea of what should be done about it was loud and clear.
But of course, that was then. Now that Trump is planning to invite the whole EC team to visit the Oval Office, he has a different take.
When it comes to the popular vote, Trump just didn’t think it was important.
Which, of course, has been his position since day one.
Hey, as long as Trump is reversing tweets from the day of the 2012 election, how about flipping this one?
