Deborah Ross (D. NC) is up with her first major ad of the general election and I’m loving it:
Deborah Ross today launched her first television ad of the general election campaign highlighting how incumbent Senator Richard Burr has put himself and his campaign donors before North Carolina. The ad, “Call,” is backed by a significant six-figure buy and will air in key markets throughout the state and digitally.
The ad spotlights Burr’s record of working on behalf of the special interests and his own interest at the expense of serving those he is supposed to represent. While Burr’s own wealth has tripled since he has been in the Senate, he has voted to raise taxes on the middle-class and working families while cutting them for millionaires like himself. This is in stark contrast to the wage stagnation felt by most North Carolinians.
“Senator Burr is a classic example of what’s wrong with politics – he has made Washington work for the special interests and his own interest, but not for North Carolina,” said Cole Leiter, Ross press secretary. “North Carolinians want more from their Senator than someone who just goes to Congress and cashes in. They’re ready for a change, and for someone who will put their interests first – someone like Deborah Ross.”
Deborah has put the people first throughout her career. She championed efforts to return taxes to working people, fought for equal pay, and successfully raised the minimum wage.
Lets keep the ad on the air. Click here to donate and get involved with Ross’ campaign.
