It’s a funny thing. Usually the University of Notre Dame has a habit of asking new Presidents to come in their first year in office to give the commencement speech at graduation. Not this year, in response to a petition signed by a large number of not only students but faculty as well, the university did not invite the K-Mart Despot, but instead invited his right hand man, Mike “First I’ve heard of it” Pence. What could go wrong? After all, Pence had been the Governor of the state for almost as long as all of the graduates had been in school there. It went wrong. The fun starts at about the 1:00 mark;
According to a report in the Washington Post, the plans had been in the works for a while, and the university was aware of the impending walkout, giving its permission as long as the students participating did not disrupt the ceremony. By the looks of the video the students abided by that request and had their say by voting with their feet.
