Buzzfeed’s Ryan Broderick is reporting that some supporters of Donald Trump have apparently built and shared a document that lists the personal information of thousands of “anti-Trump supporters.”
On Saturday night, a user named kanuke7 posted a pastebin link into the largest Discord server for Trump supporters, Centipede Central.
Discord is essentially Slack, but for gamers. It also has audio functionality. The Centipede Central server was created by members of the /r/The_Donald subreddit. Trump supporters refer to themselves as centipedes, which is a reference to a YouTube series called “Can’t Stump The Trump" that mashed up footage of President Trump in a Republican debate with audio from a nature documentary about a centipede killing a tarantula.
Given the public nature of The Resistance and the widening and deepening state and federal investigations into various aspects of the doings of the Trump regime (including the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as Special Counsel), life will continue to get increasingly tense and even dangerous both online and IRL as some Trump supporters apparently seek retribution.
Everyone: In all that we do in resistance to what we are confronted with now: Be careful!
I don’t scare easily, but this is getting a little scary now.
