There's no way Fox News could have persisted with culture of sexual harassment and cover-ups lasting for as many years as the Roger Ailes era did unless there were a lot more individuals involved than just Roger Ailes. There would have to be abettors; there would have to be top people surrounding him that weren't merely willing to cover up his own skeeviness, but thought it appropriate behavior themselves.
So it was no surprise when, lo and behold, it turned out that Fox host Bill O'Reilly had a laundry list of accusations against him as well. And it's not much of a surprise that now a frequent Fox News talking head is accusing host Sean Hannity of the same thing that got the other two fired.
Columnist, attorney, and former Fox News contributor Debbie Schlussel appeared on today’s Pat Campbell Show and accused Fox News Prime Time Host Sean Hannity of the same type of behavior that lead to Bill O’Reilly leaving the beleaguered network earlier this week. [...]
Schlussel says that after she turned down his advances, she was not invited back on his program.
What are the odds, and so forth. If recent history is any guide, these statements from Schlussel, who is no small name in conservative punditry herself, might very well result in other women coming forward as well.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
