Re: Congressional Hearings featuring former federal prosecutors about the redacted Mueller Report
Hundreds of former federal prosecutors from both sides of the political spectrum have now signed on to a statement that only the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel policy not to indict sitting presidents prevented the president from being indicted on obstruction of justice charges.
An overwhelming number of Americans have not read The Mueller Report...and that seems to include many in the political class.
I understand that your committee is currently in talks with Special Counsel Robert Mueller to arrange Mueller’s appearance before the Judiciary Committee to discuss the findings that he documented.
Given that Mueller’s appearance has not been finalized and that it may go through court challenges, is it possible that we can get robust nationally televised hearings featuring some of these former federal prosecutors outlining their view of Mueller’s findings?
Because in lieu of people actually reading the report, information needs to get out and such a hearing would provide the American people of that information needed to be properly informed on the severe nature of the possible criminal conduct of the president as outlined in the Mueller Report.
