The gang has been incommunicado for awhile, and that’s because their last road trip segment took them far afield. This is where their car was spotted last Friday in the moments just before dawn on Summer Solstice…
It’s said that on the solstice, the first ray of sunlight comes in just over the Heel Stone and strikes a flat stone slab somewhere in the center of the circle. That particular stone, on THAT particular day, gathers more sunbeams than any other spot within hundreds of miles.
Oh, look! Some kind of procession is heading for the very stone we were just discussing. Judging by the robes, this is a pagan group. And it looks like they have… hmmm… a captive of some sort.
They’ve placed the captive on the stone.
And now they’re performing some kind of ritual, perhaps timed to culminate with that first ray of light.
Wait. Is… is that a dagger ?!! What exactly are they planning to do?
There it is—the first ray of sunlight on the longest day of the year.
It’s show time! What’s going to happen next? I can’t bear to watch!
AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
