I erred again and posted a photo of a snake on a PWB diary (a no-no stressed in the introduction). I am an over excited child (trapped in a 63 year old body) who forgets all the rules in the heat of the moment. As soon as I posted, and confirmed, I realized my mistake.
Here is what I did. I posted a photo.
I freaked out, raised my voice, frightened the cat, and my wife took charge. She made me fix the problem and I can’t thank her enough.
I have chosen a photo to delete above from my image library (just as you would select a photo to post). Below the photo is a trash can icon.
I clicked the trash can and this is what happened. The area turned yellow and gave me the chance to cancel the deletion or delete permanently.
When I pressed the box named “delete permanently” the area turned red and gave me another chance to stop.
Here is my image library before I hit the delete box. Notice there are two blue “A bad image “ .jjpeg beside the red .jpeg. If this were one photo (.jpeg in this case) it would be deleted. In my example only one will disappear (unless I delete the other also, but that would mess up this presentation).
You now see there is only one blue “A bad image” box in my photo library.
The good and patient people on the PWB site worked with me (a much calmer person) to remove the image from the diary. But, some folks were still getting the image on their computers.
One suggestion was to refresh their page after I deleted the image. That worked for some but not all. I refreshed my page. That did not remove the image from my computer.
Then my wife suggested I delete the last few hours from the history of my internet use on our home laptop. I opened the site again, brought up the diary and the image was gone. I kissed the wife, hugged the cat and started this diary.
The house is quiet now. My wife has retired to bed, the cat to her box (she likes to sleep there) and I can relax. I hope this has been of use. Thanks for working with me here.
Ready to serve,
Captain BLI
