I Looked through the posts and have not seen anyone else post that the wonderful Terry Jones died last night. The Monty Pythoner passed away quietly after several years of battling primary progressive aphasia, a form of dementia. The Guardian has a number of excellent stories on Jones, MUCH better than I could do.
I would like to put in a recommendation for his various historical works, both written and film if you are looking for something to enjoy in tribute. My favorite is his book, Who Murdered Chaucer?: A Medieval Mystery. And yes, this is a true whodunnit. I am now going to go watch The Complete and Utter History of Britain on youtube.
Damn.
