Since Trump and his administration lie about everything, I believe one could safely wager a princely sum (and recoup a portion of one’s stock market losses) that Trump does, indeed, have COVID-19.
If Trump does not hold a live public event in the next two weeks, we can assume that he is infected. Of course, Brad Parscale will continue to tweet Trump-style inanities, providing cover for Trump’s illness. And Royal Ass-Kisser Mike Pence will hold daily press briefings where he will declare that, “I have just come from a meeting with the President in the Oval Office, and he instructed me to...” But it will all be for show.
This is what dictators do when they fall ill. They can show no weakness, a fact that is especially true with Trump.
Eventually, we will know the truth. But if we don’t see Trump in a public setting, or if a sharp news crew catches a military truck unloading a respirator under cover of darkness at the White House, we can rest assured that Trump’s “negative” test was just another in the thousands of lies flowing from this train wreck of an administration.
As Chevy Chase used to say long ago on Weekend Update, “Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead!”
