Here’s an interesting two-part question.
To answer the first part of the question, I actually do like spending a lot of my time alone pursuing activities but part of that also has to do with being able to get out into the world and socialize pretty much when I want. I cannot do that now and I am really not one to engage in a lot of chatter on the phone; I only feel that sense of camaraderie when I see and talk with people in the flesh (as opposed to the phone or even Zoom).
It’s the second part of this question that I really really need to work on. But first...a few words about who and what we are.
Here at Top Comments we welcome longtime as well as brand new Daily Kos readers to join us at 10pm Eastern. We strive to nourish community by rounding up some of the site's best, funniest, most mojo'd & most informative commentary, and we depend on your help!! If you see a comment by another Kossack that deserves wider recognition, please send it either to topcomments at gmail or to the Top Comments group mailbox by 9:30pm Eastern. Please please please include a few words about why you sent it in as well as your user name (even if you think we know it already :-)), so we can credit you with the find!
I need to do a lot of work in structuring my time and my days a lot better.
Really.
First of all, I am an eternal procrastinator at pretty much everything. Part of it is that I like to get the adrenaline rush from waiting to the last second to get a project done. And usually, I do get the job done but it is very rarely the absolute best that I know that I can do.
So just curbing my tendency to procrastinate is a part of it.
The other thing is that since I’ve been furloughed from my job, I no longer have a regular schedule that immerses me in things to do. That is, I had my job, my regular diary postings here on DK, my regular 12-Step meetings that I attended and a few other disciplines...almost rituals that contribute to my sense of feeling that I’ve had a good and productive day (or not).
Nowadays, there is nothing on my schedule besides my regular diary postings here at Daily Kos and a couple of 12-Step meetings that I (sometimes) attend on Zoom.
And it’s not as if I don’t have things to do and even grand plans; I do.
I have too much time to do them. And no time at all, it seems.
I need a regular daily schedule as soon as possible to maximize on the enormous amount of time that I have right now where I could be doing so many things that interest me.
One thing that hit me when I started to run that little fever a week ago is that I have not done what I am supposed to be doing here on this earth.
I have to time now to...keep doing what I’m doing.
And I have to make the time to the point where the time can make me, instead.

This poignant comment by Sockpuppet in SquireForYou's diary, "Stop asking us to die for your convenience," about the insanity of reopening the business world for convenience of the moneyed class breaks my heart. Families are being split apart by trump's self-serving lack of leadership skills and lack of empathy.
From McGovern78:
Frideswide’s photo of a snowy morning, posted to FloridaSNMOM’s IAN diary, is worthy of a Top Comments nomination.
