Indiana has not reached its covid-19 peak, but we now have more known recovered patients than hospitalizations. We have more than enough ICU beds and ventilators, but we are short on PPE, testing, and sanity. Gov. Holcomb is nowhere near the worst Republican Governor in the US. He delayed the lockdown, but did it last week.
Indianapolis and East Chicago are the big hot spots.
Don't get me started on former Gov. Pence, of whom even many Republicans here said, "Good riddance to bad rubbish". Why, he even—No. I said No. Don't start, or there will be no end.

As everywhere, the racial disparities are huge. They come from economic inequality, broken immigration, residential segregation, employment discrimination, food deserts, lack of health care, pre-existing conditions, and much more.

Unknown race clearly covers a vast multitude of egregious sins that we can't go into today.

Holcomb to extend ‘stay-at-home’ order
Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb will extend until May 1 an executive "stay-at-home" order, while the State Department of Health offered its first significant look at the recovery of COVID-19 patients.
Holcomb thanked the public for what he described as "99.99 percent" compliance with stay-at-home directives and guidelines for responsible behavior.

We gave up on Instacart grocery delivery. (Too many and too serious glitches.) We will get our second Kroger pickup order in a few days. The first time, their computer scheduled us for after they closed in the evening, but they called and offered us the first pickup time the next morning. Then they were out of a surprising variety of products. Why would they be out of eggplant? So we rolled all of that into the next order.
Some small grocery stores are shut down completely. I am ordering some things online. Office Depot has commercial toilet paper by the case, and sometimes has consumer brands. We have eight rolls, so we expect to get more before we run out.
Restaurant takeout has acquired a whole new meaning when you can't dine out. We ordered Thai for delivery, which failed, so I went and picked it up just inside the door. That doesn't work for the fixed price all-you-can-eat Indian buffet, but we'll manage something.
