Anyone who watched the ceremonies remembering the late John Lewis at Brown’s Chapel AME and the bridge across the Alabama River doesn’t need me to add my 2 cents. Needless to say, we lost a great man and a great influence. The least we can do is pass the new Voting Rights Act and fight like hell to make sure everyone has a chance to vote this election cycle. Our very democracy depends on it.

If you are planning on voting absentee, the Postmaster General is estimating a 14 day turnaround between request and submission of absentee ballots. The lesson is that it is time to make your voting plans now.
So I will keep this brief tonight. Do what you can in the next 100 days. Make your plans to vote.
Vote like your lives depend upon it.
