Well, well, well. Looks like Star Girl Reporter Judy Miller was supporting the troops in unexpected ways:

"And no fewer than four sources have either e-mailed, called, or, in one case, run up to me on the street to tell me that what I termed Miller's "especially close relationship" with Chief Warrant Officer Richard Gonzales, the leader of the WMD-hunting unit Miller was embedded with during the war, might have been, well, very close indeed. According to one insider, Miller had emailed a picture of Gonzales to a colleague at the Times with the message "Lucky Lady"."
WaPo, Kutz, 2004:
"Miller formed a friendship with MET Alpha's leader, Chief Warrant Officer Gonzales, and several officers said they were surprised when she participated in a Baghdad ceremony in which Gonzales was promoted. She pinned the rank to his uniform, an eyewitness said, and Gonzales thanked Miller for her contributions. Gonzales did not respond to a request for comment. "
Who was using whom? It sounds like a mutually beneficial relatoinship to me. To everybody except the thousands dead in Iraq, of course.
Who else was Judy "supporting?" Arianna mentions ex-U.S. Ambassador to France Felix Rohatyn, a very wealthy gentleman.
How "close" did Judy get to Chalabi? How 'bout Bolton? How high up did the neocon Mata Hari climb?
