Unfortunately for Dean supporters, as the day wears on, Dean's support slips significantly.
The first results in WA had Dean at about 28 or 29% and Kerry at around 35%. Now they have Dean all the way down at around 18% and Kerry over 40%.
This happened in New Mexico and Arizona as well. Does it keep happening because the early returns are counts of electronic and/or absentee ballots, which heavily skew towards Dean?
Just when I was starting to think a close second place was a real possibility in WA, I get to be disappointed all over again. I want to know if we can expect this phenomenon for every future state.
