Update [2005-8-28 18:41:3 by Armando]: Bush arm in arm with Iran
President Bush on Sunday promoted a proposed Iraqi constitution that goes to voters without the Sunni backing the White House aggressively worked to secure, hailing the document for offering "far-reaching protections for human freedoms. . . . Their example is an inspiration to all who share the universal values of freedom, democracy and the rule of law," Bush told reporters from a helicopter hangar at his Texas ranch. "This is a document of which the Iraqis and the rest of the world can be proud."
Iran agrees Mr. President.
As long as we are playing the
"look who agrees with who" game, look
who agrees with Bush on Iraq:
Iran on Tuesday heralded the submission of Iraq's draft constitution to parliament, saying the text would improve "security, peace and sovereignty" across the border, according to AFP. "The composition of Iraq's constitution is an very valuable and important step towards the independence and integration of Iraq," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told official media. "It will help the Iraqi nation to gain security, establishment of peace and sovereignty."
Ummm, so how does Iran feel about Jews and Israel? Well Wingnut Republican Dennis Prager says:
Hundreds of millions of Muslims -- Arab and non-Arab, Sunni and Shi'a -- hate Israel more than they love life. . . . And now, Iran announces that it is better for a Muslim to asphyxiate under the earth than be rescued by a Jew from Israel. Naive Westerners . . . refuse to acknowledge the uniqueness of the Arab/Muslim hatred of Israel and Jews. Yet, there is no hatred in the world analogous to it. Not since the Nazi hatred of Jews has humanity witnessed such hate.
Hmmm. "Naive Westerners?" Is he talking about Jonah Goldberg? Or George Bush?
