You may have seen this before.
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protestor to burn the flag."
This is true. But that's not all.
It is also the soldier, who fights in a war he didn't choose, who allows the President to choose more wars.
It is also the soldier, who fights in a war for love of country, whose pain and death are used to impugn the patriotism of others.
It is also the soldier, who fights in a war to provide for family or future, who takes the place in battle of the children of the wealthy.
And it is also the soldier, who fights in a war to promote democracy, liberty, freedom, and truth, who is at the command of people who not be compelled by any of these things.
I respect our troops, and I want them back here. I don't want them going to Iran. We have already installed our troops in such a way that for some time, their lives will be spoken for. We owe them more than that.
